You will achieve your goals with these 3 Keys to Strengthen Your Determination!

Every goal you set takes some degree of determination to accomplish. It’s easy to set a goal but it’s a lot more difficult to keep at that goal, especially if it’s a stretch goal. Here are some tips to keep on track:

1. Remember that the longest journey begins with a single step.

No matter what you are after, loosing weight, exercising more, saving money, getting the house clean etc… you have to remember that every journey, no matter how big or small, begins with a single step. And that the journey to achieve your goal is comprised of small steps.

Just take the first step, no matter how small an then focus on the next small step. They will quickly compound and you will find yourself making real progress on your goals.

2. Believe that you will achieve it.

It can be hard when you think of how far you have to go to get to where you want to be. It can feel like your not making any real progress and there is so much farther to go. This is a trap not to fall into. Save your determination by believing that you will achieve it.

It may not happen today and it may take weeks or years depending what you’re after, but you will achieve it. It’s important that you use your inner voice to remind you of this whenever the goal seems out of reach or too far off in the distance. Believe in yourself!

3. Remember why you started.

Another important thing to do when the going gets tough is to remind yourself why you started. A lot of people advocate writing your goals down to make them real.

This is helpful. Also writing down why you set that goal will multiply this helpfulness. Whenever progress is slow or you get discouraged, remember why you started. This will serve you well and refuel your drive to make it happen.

Bring it all together

Remember these guides whenever you fell like your loosing hope on reaching your goal, or feel like your dreams are out of reach because at some point it will happen.

These tools have helped keep my determination strong and I hope they do the same for you!
