Many things will happen that will discourage you along your journey. It’s unavoidable. Because of this, you need to build your resilience. Here are five ways to do so:
1. Be Aware that You will Likely Face Setbacks.
Remember that failure is part of the process of being successful. These setbacks that you will face are just incremental learning points that will enable you to ultimately be successful. Failure is an Illusion.
2. Don’t Forget Your Purpose.
Whatever you are trying to achieve, you are doing it for a purpose. Make sure you can articulate that purpose and write it down. This makes it become real and gives you something to refer to when you get discouraged.
3. Know that You are Stronger than You Think.
It’s super important to Believe in Yourself no matter what happens! You are stronger than you think! Unfortunately, most don’t realize this until they faced with a very difficult situation.
4. Seek Help when You Need it.
It’s often far after the point that we need help that we actually seek it out. It’s okay to get help. You are not alone. Others are in your life for a purpose. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. We all need help sometimes.
5. Focus on the Progress You’ve Made.
Focus on the progress you’ve made, even if just a little, and not the distance you have left to go. By doing this, you can celebrate your progress and build motivation. This will also help you to avoid the discouragement of focusing on how much further you have to go.
I hope this post helps you build your resilience. Life will certainly test it sooner or later.
